I enjoyed this book. I liked the two storylines going on with Dr. Coulson, a sex therapist, and his patient Sean. I was not expecting the twist at the end and I’m looking forward to continuing this series.

This was a very unique read for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a quick read but that does not take from the story at all. We have Sean who is dealing with issues in his relationship, so he goes to Dr. Colson. Dr. Colson is amazing at his job as a relationship therapist and he helps Sean tremendously, yet in his own personal life he makes some questionable decisions regarding his relationship. I loved how we got to see both sides of Dr. Colson, how he helped others, and how he had a darker side that needed control. I’m interested to see how the rest of the stories will play out because his friend Ava is a very crazy lady and I’m curious as to what will happen.

Wow I can’t explain how much I am loving these books, but I will try my best to. In this book we continue long with therapist Malcolm as we get more in depth to his own personal life and we also get a new set of patients he is helping. It starts with Brandon and Tessa having relationship issues after being together for 2 years, Brandon is a jerk and Tessa is use to doing what others expect her to do so things don’t seem to work out for them, but Tessa continues her therapy with Malcolm. Tessa is out to find herself and what she likes or does not like, Malcolm helps her along the way being a great supportive person helping her along her path while also dealing with his own personal issues. Malcolm was a fantastic therapist and he knew exactly what he wanted out of his relationship and life in general and while I don’t think he handled Ava too well because let’s face it she is bat crap crazy. I did love seeing how someone who is so strong, powerful, and confident that helped others easily didn’t exactly have his own life in order, but he was trying. These books keep amazing me and each one I love that we see new patients with new issues for Malcolm to help them through all while watching him try to navigate his own life. It’s a refreshing take on romance novels and very unique, I also love how the author tries to empower women and say that it is ok to be who you want to be so forget what others have to think about how you live your life.

In this series, the books are portraying 2 stories. The therapist (Malcom Colson) and a couple, the patient.
The client:
Her mother literally blamed her by her hypothetical rape just bc she slept with someone she didn’t know.
The therapist:
Ava, the girlfriend is just fucking crazy and he realizes the problem and just continues with it.

This was my first read by this author. It was a short read and felt like it was more relatable to real life and struggles in real relationship at some point. The spice was more realistic too ha not over the top but good. Definitely check this author out.

Loving this series more and more. We have a different couple and their issues are so relatable to alot of couples today. We also see more of Malcolm and the crazy he's dealing with and this has me excited for the next installment!
