I loved this even more than the first book! This is middle grade at its best. I love all the different magic. The characters are fantastic. It's about friendship and working together. So heartwarming!

Thank you to Net Galley for the e-arc.

I love this book and this series. I hope there are more books to come!

The Mapmakers throws readers right back into Cordelia's London--a place of magic and intrigue! The Makers must join together to face a great evil threatening to erase all magic from the land, but will they solve the mystery in time?

This was a joy to read. I would happy to recommend this series to middle graders interested in magical realism and adventure stories.

Turns out Cordelia's parents' backstory is a bit creepy in an imperialistic patriarchal way. Other than that, this one was just as enjoyable as the first.
