Thank you NetGalley and publisher for the ARC!

This novella contained many things I enjoy - magic, love, multiple POVs, easy reads, and humor. Each novella allowed me to connect to its characters and put me right in the feels!

Like with most short story collections, I loved some stories, but didn't click with others. My main takeaway from this is that I really appreciated the variety of different religious and cultural experiences in these stories. My favourite stories were those from Prerna Pickett and Tashie Bhuiyan.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. Reading about different desi cultures, especially the weddings was such a breath of fresh air. Now I need to experience one for real.
My favs were  "Cynic at a Shaadi", "A wedding recipe for disaster" & "A very bloody Kalyanam".
My favorite parts in the book:
Raza and Sajal. MY HEART. Their meet cute was super adorable. Raza literally talked her ear off. I loved that, it was so funny. And Sajal’s speech >>>>

Osama and Salama!! I love love that fights through all. Please when her cousin was recording Osama’s confession and then the food spilling on her couldn't believe it🤣😭😭

Now, Shloka and Kritik. VAMPIRES??? The tension?? The chemistry?? Insane. I couldn’t believe what I was reading to be totally honest. Did not expect it and it was delivered perfectly!!! Wish we got more on the story tbh but I devoured it

Didn’t mention this but the plot of Fate’s favorites was really cool. I loved the aspect of words of your soulmate showing up on your skin. Like can you imagine??

My only ick in this book was the lady with the bob sorry. I didn’t understand what her purpose was. And idk if she was meant to be a fairy godmother but wasn’t really feeling her. She did help in some of the stories but I kind of got annoyed when she showed up. It would’ve been nice if she appeared as a different woman in the different stories with something specific tying them together. Like a simple mystery we the readers had to solve but that’s just my hot take

I'm glad I picked up this book in my attempts to diversify my reading. All but one of the stories within this collection were amazing. The only reason I didn't like A Very Bloody Kalyanam is that I wasn't keen on the story's supernatural element. There are 10 elements/stories include in this book so 0.5 being knocked off for the one I didn't like but the rest were brilliant
