Um

So first, as a Upstate NYer who lives practically on the PA border I can definitely say that New York is NOT South of PA. Anyone looking at a map can tell you that NY is North of PA. And yes that drove me freaking nuts. Also can we talk about the cliche tall leggy blonde heroine? Actually I probably shouldn't because I'm starting to feel like a broken record about romance writers and freaking blondes. The story also kept reminding me of movie plots. Most of Emma's plot practically Overboard without the boat. Rowan's wife, City of Angels. Also the ending super unresolved, Callie is still a runaway and they haven't done anything to change that. One small conversation about how they want to do something and none of the seeing it done. That's just not good enough for me as a reader. I mean parts of this were seriously funny, don't get me wrong but the police were a joke, also NY cops have no jurisdiction in PA in fact town cops only have jurisdiction in their town. The cop following Rowan, that's not police work its stalking. There was just so much of this that poorly researched and unrealistic and I might have given it a pass if the ending felt resolved but it doesn't and that's a huge no go for me.
