The energy the author put into the stories by which he describes the framework for good storytelling is infectious. Hard to read this and not want to start, or get better. One drawback is that while reading, you're going to pick up on the bad anecdotes or stories that aren't stories. 

This book is about more than just telling stories. It's about being a good communicator, and something I was searching for for quite a while. A good communicator has two traits: can convey information clearly, and can do so while keeping the audience engaged. The setting doesn't matter, it can happen either during a casual dinner conversation, or in an organized fashion in front of a jury. The result must be the same, the audience must understand your message, and they must be left asking for more. This book is the user's manual.

As I was approaching the final pages of the book I found myself wondering if I haven't been applying some of the lessons in real life, and discovered that low key, I have. Hopefully this will make me a better communicator, even though I don't plan on attending the Moth anytime soon.
