Reviews with content warning for Alcoholism - What Have You Done?

Another great fast paced thriller from Shari Lapena. It's sooo good. Unputdownable! For the record: I guessed the killer pretty early on. But i don't think it was predictable, i just have read too many thrillers lol AND i was still excited to read it! I had my theory but I was still unsure because there are so many red herrings and possibilities.

there are SO many characters in this book lmao. it's good for the plot though because their every single act fell like dominoes. and their lores are distinct so it's not confusing. although every time a name mentioned, i have to think for a few seconds as to who this person is lol but after that it's fine.

I thought this was a good story, but it was very repetitive in parts. It was meant to be written in the third person perspective, but then zoomed in on a specific person. I feel like characters were filled out to an extent, but details that would've completed them were missed if that makes sense. I did enjoy the twists that kept you guessing who it was!

I really liked this book! I was hooked right from the beginning, wanting to know what happened to Diana, a murdered girl found naked in a field. This book takes you on multiple journeys through a few days of figuring out just what happened. This is absolutely a whodunnit with so many POVs (maybe a bit too many? It got a bit confusing sometimes, but maybe that's just me). One of the benefits to this book was, despite having read a lot of this genre, I didn't figure it out until the chapter before the big reveal! I think this will be another hit for Lapena, and I definitely suggest grabbing a copy once it releases on July 30, 2024!
