Superb again, a great case and story following a killer with seemingly no motive unless the perpetrator is involved with another case. More psychological this one but a great and fun read.

Five more to go and my journey is over.

He drank Vouvray and cognac (not together), and he regretted missing the lunch of snails that his wife ate. Think there was some more food in there, but don't remember. I enjoyed this, but not top drawer Maigret for me.

This was a second hand store find, my wife gave it to me to read. It wasn't a typical whodunit in some respects that I'm not divulging so as not to be a spoiler. Set in Paris in the 60's (when it was published), details the murder investigation of a college student who is the son of a famous perfumer. It's a short book and quick read, and overall was a good book, although I think the finish could have been done better.
