Very moving, and at times horrifying account of how the US government allows its soldiers and diplomats to get chewed up by war without taking care of them. An honest, revealing, and compelling read.

I thought this book was eye opening and refreshing. All too often we view war through the rose colored lense of the silver screen and forget what it really means, what it really does. This is a book about victories and defeats- small acts of bravery and the failure of a system we depend on. It's the human side of the equation we tend to ignore. Ron Capps did an amazing job, the impressions left went deep. More people need to read this book, more people need to remember, to bear witness as he says. I highly recommend it.
