Dear reader, this is the wonderful conclusion of the Vessel series. Juliette Cross brings clarity to some of our reader questions and gives us an epic good vs. evil standoff.
Our heroine Genevieve is propelled towards wild actions by the force beyond all others: true love.
One finds oneself wishing for a speedy conclusion as all of our favorite characters are pushed through difficult circumstances. Cross doesn't let her readers down.
If you adore intense worlds, strong female leads, true love, and steamy romance then you'll love this book. Please be sure to read the entire trilogy in order.

I just realized that this series is the Dominion Series beginnings. How I didn't realize that until half way through this second book, I have no idea. My only excuse is that it's been a bit since I read that series and I thought this author just decided to do two series with the same arch angel, Uriel. Uriel was my favorite character in the other series so he left an impression. Anyway, I started to realize I recognized these names and I can't be more excited about this. I loved the Dominion series and now I'm even more ramped up to see how this trilogy leads us to it.
After finishing the first book, I thought "ok, now things are going to ramp up" and it did, but boy after how this second book ended, that escalation will be nothing on the third book. I admittedly don't remember what was said about Genevieve and Jude's story in the Dominion series and I'm glad for that because I really like that I don't know what to expect in the next book and I'm excited to see what Genevieve does after how this ended.
I can't really say too much more without spoilers but you do want to read book one first or you will be lost. Then after finishing this series, you definitely want to continue onto the spinoff series. I'm noticing the excitement gets ramped up with each book.

“Genevieve?
I don’t need the pain to relieve me anymore.”
“Why not?”
Pause.
“Because I’ve got you.”
Sealed in Sin is book 2 in The Vessel Trilogy- (you really need to have read Forged in Fire first). Book 2 brings all the twists and turns as we continue following Genevieve’s growth as a Vessel, with the Great War between light and dark looming.
This story introduces us to more demons, creatures, and Thomas- Genevieve’s guardian Angel. Sealed in Sin brings even more heat and swooning, heartache, and healing. There is a lot of action, insights, and love. There are a lot of secrets and I felt *a lot* conflicted at times. We see a different side of Jude. My heart. My heart felt close to BURSTING on more than one occasion. The feelings. The emotions.
The secrets. I don’t want to write to much and possibly give away anything. Let me just say. You need this. And I hope it comes to no surprise that with one book left in the trilogy- make sure your heart is prepared for the immediate reading of book 3 as this ends in a cliffhanger, the type of cliffhanger that leaves you mouth agape and your heart in your freaking throat.
C/w: violence and death as they continue hunting demons, cheating

Again, I love this author! I just feel like there are too many dramatic conflicts in this series. And unfortunately ones that I dislike: love triangles, lying, cheating…. etc. I’m still invested in finishing the series, but I think I would have really liked it without these elements.

Meh. I will probably read the third book just so it isn't left hanging but this series is just Mary-Sue masturbation fiction. The whole "female main character who is black belt in martial arts but never actually uses any of that muscle memory to defend herself or anything" is annoying. Why bother giving such a skill to the character if you're never going to utilize it? Just childish and dumb.

*ARC* I received this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review
4.5/5 Stars
We continue Gen's story with some added conflict, villains, and mysterious characters. Not to mention the tension between her and Jude grows with an added Angel to the mix. Thomas is Gen's Guardian Angel who has been watching over her - and also professes his feelings for her. But is he who he says he is? War between Heaven and Hell is drawing closer and there is so much to do.
I adore Jude and Gen's bond. We get to see them grow as individual characters, but also together. *SWOON*
Overall, I really enjoyed the relationships (Romantic and Friendship) between the characters. I love the side-characters just as much! Juliette Cross does a wonderful job at telling an action-packed story with emotional twists and turns, romance + *Spice* and makes you want for more! I can't wait to read the third and final book, Bound in Black
I recommend this series to those who love paranormal characters (Angels, Demons, etc.) and Steamy Romance!

Sealed in Sin was the perfect middle book in a trilogy. Usually, middle books disappoint me; usually, there's WAY too much buildup with very little pay off.
Genevieve made me scream at my kindle multiple times, but I still loved her.
Jude....just...UGH love. The brooding, the possessiveness, just fantastic.
Thomas was the perfect middle villain- someone who you want to love but also makes you so angry as a villain
And that CLIFFHANGER?! I need to read the last book NOW NOW NOW. Juliette, you have outdone yourself.

A great follow up book in the series. This one gave us many more twists and turns and was really enjoyable. I also really enjoyed how they kept up with the “purity” part of her being a vessel. Hot and swoony. It is hard to say too much without giving spoilers. But I am really excited to read the next one!
