Jag tycker bättre om hennes andra diktsamling ”Harmony” men det beror nog mest på att jag inte kände igen mig på samma sätt i de här dikterna. Vissa var väldigt fint skrivna medan andra kändes lite onödiga.

i know now that this is how it works you don't get to keep everyone in your life forever there are some people
that are just meant to be a sunrise for you a light to pull you out of the darkness there are friends, lovers, relationships that are seasonal

and no matter how deep of a conversation you had with that person at 2 am
no matter how much you shared your heart even if you can still draw the lines of their smile like the map of a too familiar road in the back of your mind there almost always comes a time to move on

a time to let go and regardless of the letting go i just wanted you to know you're always going to feel a little bit like home to me no matter how temporary it is still beautiful

Al iniciar la lectura me sentí algo escéptico, porque la poesía nunca ha sido mi género favorito, también el hecho de que estuviera en inglés y que fuera una autora que se hizo famosa por TikTok. Pero disfruté mucho el libro, no sé si yo llamara poesía pero sí sé lo complejo que es plasmar en palabras lo que uno siente, sobretodo cuando pasa a través del dolor, escoger las palabras y que transmitan lo que uno siente es complicado y la autora lo logra, es como asomarse a un cuaderno de notas, de tuits pero son tuits precisos con los que muchos pueden empatizar. No creo que sea una lectura para cualquiera, puede parecer facilona y a veces simplona pues no tiene la grandielocuencia de los poetas pero es efectiva.
