Honestly, I'm blown away by this series and the utter complexity of the storyline/history/plot. It was excellent but at times a bit tedious, because I felt like there was just one more thing stacked against them. At times, I wondered if the author was trying to do all the things and give everything/one some kind of representation; it's great and I applaud the author, but at times, it took away from the story when one more random detail was added to already complex characters. And the complexity of all these beings and histories and worlds is...a lot. I know there's more coming to this universe, but there's just so much so much information. I wish there had been more lighthearted moments at times to kind of temper the severity of the situation going on. But honestly, it was such a good series. While difficult to read at times, Harlow's mental health struggles were unique to read, as it's very rare such complexities get represented in fantasy. I think the very real way her and Finn's relationship was shown was interesting as well, and I loved seeing the growth between them. Also, fuck yes, a couple who doesn't want to have children and maintains that through the end. THANK YOU. This was a hefty series, and I'm glad to have experienced it.
