This is actually awesome

I got an ARC of this book and I have to say, it's refreshingly awesome. I have a fascination and appreciation for old codger-style characters And the main character in this book was exactly that. Many of the return to the past style stories have the same issue of a main character, not understanding that the butterfly effect is a thing or not being able to capitalize on it with enough information from the future. Luckily, this protagonist was actually capable of not only capitalizing on new information, but doing so in a way that nutted him a fantastic gain that he did not have and would not have had without the prior information. The story is great, much recommended.

I never want to read another series again.

This is it. This is the one.

Although it starts a tad slow, by the end this book mercilessly drop kicked Bruce’s DD series out of my top spot for favorite books.
