Was this amazing? Perhaps not, but it had the exact kind of lyrical prose that I instantly get into, and, when you have that in an intriguing fantasy world, that's truly all I need.

An extremely generic new adult fantasy. The characters are a bit thin, the plot a bit unsatisfying, but the prose is pretty good. The antagonist is the least compelling part of this story, and it kind of sinks the whole thing. An easy read though, 2.5/5 stars.
