Reviews with content warning for Sexual assault - Sometimes I Lie

I enjoyed 'Sometimes I Lie' as I have been trying to get back into the swing of reading. The twists were entertaining and kept me engaged. However, I believe that the sheer number of twists somewhat detracted from the story. Despite this, it is definitely worth the read.

This was the first Alice Feeney book I’ve ever read, and I’m interested to see how the other books I have on my list to read by her compare to this one. It gave unreliable narrator the entire time. I felt so confused throughout the majority of this book, and when I had everything figured out, I was still slightly confused. Interesting read.

Trigger warning: Sexual assault, rape
The twists and turns kept me so engaged. I love the way Alice leaves no stone unturned. She wraps every detail she mentions into a nice little bow. Her use of similes and metaphors are so creative. It’s a dark and intense ride that you close your eyes for sometimes, but damn does she deliver. This is the second book I’ve read of hers and she’s quickly becoming my fave in this genre

Way too many traumatic events crammed into a short time period for our main characters. The big twist was good enough to not need all the other sub-plots muddying it. Confusing ending.
