Mostly it's the same as all the other of her books. Plot twist reveal in the last ,25% of the book. Full cast of characters no one likes. Unnecessary SA. And feels like the same characters we've already seen in her other stories.

twists after twists, some are predictable while others left me confused and standing still for a few minutes while i processed them. the audiobook was beautifully done but i think there was too much happening to where i was more confused by each twist and each ‘villain,’ especially the final twist left me confused. the cliffhanger was good though, left me wanting to know the rest.

now i dont like to compare books in my reviews.... BUT. this is like everything i wanted out of the girl on the train. its so good. going in blind is critical, i wouldn't even recommend reading the latter half of my review if you want to read it. i was hanging onto every word!

overall it was incredible, tied up really well, presented good red herrings.
i will say i found the very end "cliffhanger"/twist? kinda dumb and a plot hole but maybe id have to read the last 2 chapters again. also found that a lot of the diary entries chapters read a bit too mature but also a bit too childish at other times for a 10 year old. but it mightve been intentional

Make sure to check trigger warnings before reading!! I didn’t like the fatphobic/anti-fat descriptions used for some characters, especially at the beginning. Aside from that, solid book with a good flow and kept me engaged. I’m looking forward to reading more by the author.
