3.5 Stars Not my favorite of the series but still a very good story. I wish I could explain what didn’t work for me but I seem to have lost my words... no pun intended.

First and foremost, I absolutely loved this book - It's one of my favorites in this series, hands down.

But he audio? Ooof. I don't think I've regretted paying $10 on anything this much.

While the narrator had a lovely voice, the accents were very.... wrong. The French was awkward and inaccurate, a lot of names were mispronounced, incorrect words were used (gasped instead of grasped, attention instead of attraction), and it definitely needed audio proofing. There were a LOT of pauses where he would clear his throat, or he used the wrong accent, and would pause and restart, and that just jerked me out of the story every single time. I kept thinking I jerked my head (stops the audio on my AirPods), or it paused for some reason. Nope. The pauses and restarts were just... left in.

I've really enjoyed

This series. Great characters and diverse issues with them all. I'd just like to see them all polished up more so I can give them better ratings.

I really liked this! Very wholesome. Both mat and wyatt have been through so much, I’m glad they got their HEA.

Since both have disabilities or limitations, they know and understand perfectly how the other needs to be treated. Aka having the extra patience and not assuming the other wants help.

I wanted to give Wyatt the biggest hug, he had so many disappointments in life which led him to his happiness (Mat).

I fell in love with Mat in the previous books, and I was so worried that the author wouldn't do his story justice. But I absolutely adored the story of Mat and Wyatt. This one felt so different than the rest of the books in the series, because it dealt with just the two of them. There weren't a bunch of side stories going on at the same time, so it was much easier to connect with their characters. I don't usually give 5 stars just for the romance, but I'm doing it tonight. I just loved them so fucking much.

Favorite quotes:

“I have enough strength to believe for both of us, until you’re ready to believe in yourself.”

“If the word for love did not exist,” he said, and he felt Mat’s grip on him tighten, “I would have invented it seeing you.”

“You know I don’t have unrealistic expectations, Mateo. I…” he stopped, then took a breath and Mat saw the way his jaw clenched like he was holding back. Then he squeezed Mat’s thigh harder. “I love you. Exactly as you are—with whatever your limitations are.”

Out of all the gay men in this series, these two gave us the most romance. They were just so fucking sweet together, and they lived in their own little bubble of sweet nothings and French pick-up lines and precious secrets. I just ... ahhhh ... I just couldn't get over how adorable they were.

“I love you in every language.”

Please pause while I SOB ON THE FLOOR.

Lots of reviews said they were boring, but I loved their cheesy little relationship so damn much. I loved the support they gave each other. I loved the trust they put in each other. I loved that they both fought for each other. I loved their independence. And I loved that Wyatt's ex-husband got punched in the face and kicked in the nuts. Fuck Wyatt's family, fuck Mat's ex-wife and family, and fuck that piece of shit ex-husband. I hope these boys live happily ever after with sweet Apollo.

Pretty sweet. I love the guys, the last two in this series haven't been as good for me as the first couple, but its still good to see all the characters and watch them find their happiness. Um, Wyatt's family...ugh, what utter shitheads. I love that the drama was not within the relationship also, they were solid and yes, had insecurities and all that, but no big issues that blew them up.
