I don’t even know how to feel after this book, everything was just so crazy. I loved it!

Solid 4 ⭐ series, I liked the second book the most but this was a good intro to the trilogy. Although it did follow a broad commonly used dystopian storyline, the details of the situation were pretty new and interesting imo!

3.25 stars. I went into this book with little knowledge about the story, and was hooked within the first few chapters. I thought the premise was interesting and the mystery kept me reading. I wasn’t sure where the book was going to go and I’m not sure I love where it ended up. I thought it was an okay read but I’m not certain if I will read the next one.

Min has been getting murdered every even birthday since she as eight. She wakes up alive in the same place every time--unharmed and everything is returned to normal. She has no idea why this happens--her shrink tells her that it's all in her head. But when the world starts falling apart, literally, she begins to realize that all of this is somehow connected to her.

Told in altering POV you follow Min and Noah--both are dealing with the same mysterious murders, but the way they handle them is completely different.

Reich creates a realistic turntable world where natural disasters and government conspiracies run amok. Twists and turns are around every corner and you have no clue who can be trusted--even after you finish the last page.

I’m surprised by how much I enjoyed the first book in this series. I read it mostly for work purposes - readers advisory. Not sure if I’ll pick up the second, maybe?
