Interesting storyline. This is the first book I have read by this author and I thought it were a great introduction. Her writing style really caught my attention and she knew how to engage the reader. At first I were a little lost over some of the concepts but soon found it all really easy to understand. The story was backed up by great characters and it is all round brilliant to read. I am looking forward to the next book.

Thief of Magic (Shadowed Minds Book 1) by Bree Moore

I was instantly intrigued by this book just based on the cover, it was stunning and completely called to me, and the story itself was absolutely incredible! This was one of those books that I read in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down as I was fully immersed in the storyline.
This author writes with so much detail, from the most miniscule thing to the really intricate scenes, the magic, the emotions and the explanations for all the important details of everything in between. Nothing is left to the imagination and I love that, the picture this author painted was so entertaining.
I cannot wait to read more from this author asap and would highly recommend this book.

I am not being paid for this review I was given this book as an ARC reader to leave my honest feedback of the book Theif of Magic by Bree Moore narrated by Krys Janae. It is a fantastic book. It is the first of her shadowed mind series. I really enjoyed this book it was hard to put down. It has wonderful world building, character development, mystery, magic, adventure, heists, and intrigue.
This blurb from the book Theif of Magic by Bree Moore “She'll steal anything to find the cure for a deadly strain of magic.
Ever since the ancient Ceteri “blessed” Earth’s inhabitants with Thaumaturgy, Lee has been able to enter the Liminal Realm, where she can influence the world without being seen or heard. But each time she uses her magic, it tears her cells further apart. Like a cancer, the magic eats away at her from the inside out.
Fortunately, her ability makes her invaluable to the thieving crew she works for. Unfortunately, the crew is going broke. Lee is determined not to go down with them. She just has to steal enough to buy the coordinates for the Ceteri’s home world and convince them to heal her, even if it means losing her abilities. But when the crew hires on a new bit of muscle to help out with a last-ditch heist, Lee finds herself being tracked and her motives questioned by the crew.
To make matters worse, the FBI is hot on Lee’s trail, and they’re closing in. Racing against arrest and her own death, can Lee reach the Ceteri in time?”
Caught my attention and I knew I had to listen to it. The narrator does an awesome job as well. The authors writing is so descriptive and detailed that it comes to life and is easily visualized. This is an urban fantasy and could easily make for a great movie. This is definitely a must read and an author to be added to everyone’s list of authors to follow for more books to read

Interesting concept, a crew of fun oddballs and misfits, some intrigue, action, and hijinks, and an overall intriguing full-length start to a series. Hopefully I'll be able to read the second one soon. Book three comes out at the end of February and I'd like to be caught up in time for that release.

This was an excellent fast paced action packed urban fantasy. There was so much going on I was never bored. The story included a medium, the mc could travel between dimensions, there was a cyborg, an alien race, and illegal breeding of people who have magical abilities. And on top of all that liminal it’s is lethal so the user has this super cool power that let them travel unseen between realms but that power is slowly killing them. So Lee the MC is looking for a cure. I can’t wait to read book 2!

This book opens with an absolute bang. We are faced with magical beings. One in particular being our main character Lee.
Lee has magic but there is a problem. This magic comes with a cost. An absolute cost at that. On top of that Lee is being tracked by the FBI.
This book has wonderful characters and fantastic world building elements. This is one of the better first books to a series I have read in quite some time. If you’re debating, don't. This is a wonderful fantasy to pick up. A quick read as well.

This was such an interesting story. Lee has magic, and she can use that magic, but it is killing her to do so. Stealing to live and using magic to do it is tearing her apart. Literally. She just needs to get to the Ceteri to get them to "fix" the magic inside her. A great adventure in a race against time to save her own life. A must read!

Great world building!! I love fantasy and rarely find a new subset to that category! This author not only created a whole new world but a whole new set of magical rules! The characters were diverse and well detailed! I loved the premise that something crashing from space could infect humans and give them supernatural powers. Of course as always magic comes at a price but the way the author deals with that basic rule is not only entertaining but is entirely different from other magical, mystical realms. All in all I really enjoyed this novel and look forward to the next book in the series.
