One thing I love about a retelling, is when the author sprinkles bits of the original story into the new one. My favourites in Wendy, Darling are the acorn necklace, the sword fighting and Peter saying “oh the cleverness of me”

I loved this retelling because this is one I felt was my Peter. I loved the banter as well as the lost children being excited to have Wendy back. The fact that Wendy didn't let go of the dream and didn't want to be a Damsel in Distress and wanted to hold her own. The cliff hanger did kill me and I hope the library will get the next ones or else I will have to buy them. I will end up at least end up buying these at the very least.
