Better than Psycho Shifters, but that might just be because my brain has rotted enough from Mas’s work that I’m no longer able to be as critical as I should be.

Difficult to keep track of all of the characters, especially when so many get introduced in a short space, and the POV switching is clumsy and unnecessary.

Loved this book! So much fun to read: the pacing, the characters, the lore and world building. Genuinely enjoyed myself while reading this.

I might be missing some content warnings...I read this in the middle of the night when I was sick and couldn't sleep 😅

Ngl the entire first 3 books kinda blend all together since I read though back to back...while sick 😅

Did I hate it? No. Will I ever reread it? Also no. Would I recommend it? Nope.

Something about this book feels repetitive.
With the way the alphas treat Sadie, might as well create more dual povs bc Sadie's pov can get boring asf to me.
She can't do anything without an alpha growling down her back, which in itself is annoying.

2nd, it feels too me like all the attraction is obsession. There isn't really something they like about Sadie, other than fact that they want to possess and protect her. This is how I viewed it. .

3rd, inconsistencies.

In the 1st book, we were told alphas die from having their blood drained. Now they day they die if their blood is drained AND they're decapitated. I get you don't want to make it easy for them to die but this annoyed me for some reason.

Characters:

Sadie: She's ok. I hate how much of a pushover she is despite the fact that she's an alpha but whatever. I doubt that's gonna get fixed considering all her men are annoyingly obsessive asf. Not even the cute obsessive type. Just the annoying obsessive type.

Jax: 3. Not that much of a favorite anymore. His only traits are his kindness, levelheadedness, and being an absolute beefcake. None of those parts really attracted me personally.

Cobra: 1. Still don't like him. Went from the cold type to whatever he was in this book. Not cute either way. If he wasn't hot, Sadie would be creeped out. Personally I was.

Ascher: 4. I might not be in the majority but I liked him. His true character is way better than his hot-headed disguise.

Xerxes: 3. Personally, his povs were cute to me. Don't know him well enough to judge how much I like him.

Aran: 4. Might check out her story who knows. She doesn't seem horrible.

I'm not sure I'll read book 3 because the cliffhanger didn't really interest me but I have the time so we'll see.
