Great twist at the end. Didn't see that one coming

Oh my God!!!! This book is a must read! It explores abuse in a manner that's so real! wonderful writing as well!

I read this because I heard about the infamous twist & I have to say...it got me! I didn’t pick up on it at all lmao

Wow, just Wow! The ending......

Loved it. I had an inkling that the normal stereotype characters were reversed from the get go! The use of “partner” and no he/ she pronouns was excellent in throwing us off !

Clever, clever author! Although I had my suspicions right from the start, this story still dragged me in and had me second guessing myself. This authors writing style and word usage allowed for the reader to be duped...very clever.

Charlie and Sal are the perfect couple ... aren't they?  
From the outside, Sal and Charlie are happily married with a sweet little girl named Maggie.  On the inside, however, they live in a very abusive relationship.  
This book definitely has a twist, but I just didn't think that it lived up to the hype.  Just an average read for me.

Amazing book and definitely did not expect the twist at the end. Would definitely recommend reading. I look forward to reading more from Lisa Hall
