This short story is book two of the Chateau Felicity series and the main characters are Foster DuPont, a corporate accountant who works in New York City and is looking to make partner in two years, and Zoe Huxley who owns her own New Age shop in Harmony, California. She is his best friend Zach’s little sister and he hasn’t seen her for a decade, when she was sixteen and he had wanted to ask her out just before he left for college. Foster had taken a leave of absence form work after he and his six siblings had lost their parents suddenly, and he came to help them take over running the family winery business, Chateau Felicity. Zach has asked him as a favour to help Zoe at her stall for the Winter Solstice Festival, since she was short-handed. It’s not the sort of thing he is interested in or even believes in, but Zoe certainly does. He runs the retail side of the stall whilst she does readings and is surprised to find out he has his youngest sister coming to allow them to look around the festival and even get something to eat.
Zoe had a reading herself just a few weeks before the festival and was told some very specific details of a soul mate she would meet and she is shocked to find the last and very specific detail to be on the man she had a crush on since she was sixteen! They get closer as they chat and eat in a private hidden away location Foster knew of on their property, with Zoe bold enough to tell him about her reading and her own feelings for him back then. He is only going to be back in town for another couple of weeks and she could be left in exactly the same situation she was a decade ago, with her heart broken and an opportunity lost. That one day together has made Foster realise that the unsettled feelings he had been having before his parents died, have now been made clearer and he doesn’t want to waste his life chasing job titles when life could be cut short at any time. He has realised his feelings for Zoe and puts plans into place, to ensure he has the life he really wants instead of following the lonely path he thought he wanted. Very short and so doesn’t go into too much detail, but gives you the meet greet and the coming together of the pair, as well as looking at what true happiness could look like. Life is for living not living to work! It is part of a series, where the family winery and small town are key parts of the other stories. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

This was sweet, cute and short for a holiday romance. I wanted to read some more character development for Foster. He seemed like he would have wanted to stay true to his five year plan, but all of a sudden, he's giving everything up and moving back home? Doesn't sound plausible from what his earlier character was like.
