I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated this book and wish there was something similar for most organs/operations of my body. Gillbro presents useful background information on the makeup and function of different parts of the skin to aid in discussion in subsequent chapters. I have a much better understanding of how to take care of my skin now. I appreciate the extensive bibliography and studies cited in the text while still being readable for a layperson, though there were occasional mentions of studies without much purpose.
