this was just amazing. i typically stay away from poetry but i absolutely love jordan’s writing style and the subject matter it covers. her work explores blackness, queerness, and woman hood in such a profound way. just so so beautiful

“I must become a Menace to my enemies”

Some of the most beautiful poems I’ve ever read are in this anthology. Jordan’s style is so unique and captivating. It made me angry, joyful, sad….
introduction was also very interesting to read.
