“At være god er et valg, Amari. Og det er et, du skal træffe igen og igen. Uanset hvor svært det bliver. Uanset hvor fristende det er at lade mørket vinde.”
I had a hard time putting the book down, I was captured by the story and wanted to know what would happend next. I liked the political elements that were added to the story. The story was full of unexpected plottwists I did not see come, and I look forward to read the next book in the series.
Warning: deportation, racism, bullying, police brutallty, manipulation, hate crime, disown, war, death, torture.
Advarsel: tvunget udsmidning, racisme, mobning, politi brutalitet, manipulation, hadforbrydelse, slået af hånden, krig, død, tortur.

An explosive second book that promises an even more powerful third! With the Supernatural Congress frozen in an act of apparent terrorism, Amari blamed and suspected of the attack, and the threat of the League of Magicians going to war if Amari doesn't win the Great Game, the Good Magician has her plate full. An amazing sequel where I can never predict what happens next and where I can find something to admire about every character (yes, even Dylan and his struggle with choosing evil when he enjoys being good ). Excited for the finale!
Graphic: Bullying, Death, Emotional abuse, Hate crime, Racial slurs, Racism, Terminal illness, Violence, Xenophobia, Police brutality, Grief, Stalking, Fire/Fire injury, Gaslighting, War, and Deportation
Moderate: Child abuse, Confinement, Torture, Blood, and Medical content
Minor: Genocide and Gun violence
The book does (through allegory) talk at length about white supremacy, white terrorism and related bigotry, including an event that is revealed topurplepenning's review against another edition
