Silly and soft

4 stars

I enjoyed getting back in this world as Bruce, William, and Grandma have gunmen me many laughs, especially William. I had no idea that this author was going to introduce the second generation.

Miles was a cross between his dad, Bruce, and his uncle, William. He made me laugh several times. I also liked Rey. Grandma felt a little over the top and forced this time so that took the rating down. Still a very funny book.

Very silly and the plot doesn't make sense

Omg lol...this book literally had me laughing out loud. Granny is my spirit animal!

I picked this up to read for fun...knowing full well I wasn’t expecting much other than a light read. I was pleasantly surprised when the novel wasn’t all debauchery. There is sex but given the title of the book, I figured it was going to be cover to cover. The storyline was cute and fun and the amount of times I laughed really made this book for me.

Nice break from psychopaths.

After His Banana was a pretty cute and quick read to breeze through.

In it, you will meet Rey and Miles. Rey is currently struggling to get through school, work, and all the rest of her crazy life. Her main focus is to help provide for her little sister who is really gifted. It just sucks that Rey doesn't have the money to send her on these amazing opportunities every time they ask for her little sister. So her plan is to get this super awesome internship to she can afford some of these nice things for her.

There's just one hiccup. In order to get this said internship she needs to write a psychology paper on an abnormal person. Honestly, this whole paper sounds pretty interesting.. but what abnormality would impress them?

Enter Miles. He is in business school at the same college as Rey. Yet, his dream and love is cooking. Oh man. A guy that cook. Well anyone that can cook is good with me. So when he ends up punching this douche named Kale in the face.. well he has to think of a plan B work wise.

Which is why the book world brought these two together. It was highly entertaining that they were both using one another for different reasons and I was just casually waiting for everything to blow up and for the truth to come out. I won't lie. This book made me laugh so much. It was very entertaining from start to finish.

Plus whenever people think they wont develop feelings just makes me laugh. Especially when romance and sparks are involved. These two had wonderful chemistry and I am very happy that I dove into this book.

I enjoyed reading Miles and Rey's story. I adored His Banana, so I was excited to read the story of their son. I didn't find this story as funny as the original, but it was amusing and I enjoyed seeing all the characters from this book and Her Cherry. I hope Miles' sister and cousins get their own books because I would like more from this series.

This book is kinda like an extended epilogue from the His Banana book, though you don't actually need to have read that book to follow, as it is it's own story. It takes place about 20 years after His Banana and features that books staring couples son. We do get to see our favorite characters again, though they are just glimpses. Anywho, Miles is an offbeat character. Quite unique. He's funny and charming. He has a 'don't give a damn' vibe, but at the same time, he does care what people think... at least people he cares about. Rey is smart and nerdy and everything she does, she does for her sister. After a wacky meet cute, he weasels his way into her life. Both are using the other for their own gain, and if that truth comes out it could mean the end of whatever relationship they have. There is lots of humor. Despite their secrets, this is a light-hearted and a general feel good read. It reads quickly and easily. It's a little on the short side for a novel, but longer than a novella. It alternates between POVs. There is the bare minimal amount of sexual content, but there is sexual innuendo throughout.

Laughs and Romance

This book was adorable! I laughed out loud, and got seriously swoony over Miles. It takes a trope you see often and takes it in a completely different direction, and doesn’t stretch out plot points. Despite its over the top silliness at times it feels like how actual people would be in some of these situations.
