Dune: the Butlerian Jihad is my first foray into the Duneverse and I'm genuinely excited to see how the story looks from this vantage point. I know the general impression of the prequel series is less than favorable but I've actually enjoyed the deep dive and character development
Graphic: Genocide, Slavery, Violence, Murder, Colonisation, and War
Moderate: Gore, Gun violence, Torture, Trafficking, Grief, Murder, and Pregnancy
While a range of disturbing topics are mentioned in this book the authors often treat them with a detached sense of history. The mater of fact nature makes the events often more palatable and more horrible.jelliclejules's review against another edition
