Not a bad read although not sure why Hole hasn’t been pensioned off by the police force. Some fairly gruesome (to me) details especially if you have a tendency to read while eating.

Though second in the series of Harry Hole, it is my last. I've read all 10 and loved them all.

A little better than book 1, but not my favorite so far. But I will definitely keep on going.

I'm reading Jo Nesbo's Harry Hole series in order so this is the second one I've read. I tend to judge a book or series like this by the connection I feel with the main character and I must admit I'm kinda liking Harry. While he's a bit of a superhero detective he's also got a touch of authenticity and grit about him which I like. I found the plot of this book fairly good to follow and didn't have to spend to much time trying to put two and two together. There was a steady crescendo to the climax and I found myself visualizing the story as it was unfolding like I was watching a movie. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I really enjoy his books. It is indeed different from the usual mainstream criminal stories. It is raw, powerful and exciting. 10/10 would recommend it.
