I enjoyed the continuation of the series. Again the sex was passionate and hot. The ending caught me off guard as I felt it came too soon. Hawk set up a nice set of questions to be answered in future books. I will continue to read the books and see where they go. Seems like a great series so far, I would recommend to those who like male male romance and paranormal investigation stories.

What I said about the first book still stands: I love the characters, the world building and the writing style. I love this book's 'theme' as well. How often do you read about ghouls? It was a little bit scary, too, although maybe I just invest myself too much into stories...

Oh, Caleb has been recruited to work with John \0/ And their first case together involves ghouls, who, accordingly to Grey, smell delicious :P

Of course, the working together is not as good as it could be, as the rest of John's team, Sean and Tiffany, aren't really happy about the addition.

And, oh... something sinister is definitively going on inside SPECTR. I'm listening to book 03 right now, because this series? It's addictive.

It's Jordan L. Hawk and there are Ghouls -- of course there are!

I like how Gray was getting into the sex with John and Caleb that kind of made me chuckle and this book made me laugh out loud which the author does best with me. I like Gray's POV about how humans worry about the dumbest things -- and it's totally true.

Great. Now the drakul old enough to remember mud-brick ziggurats was telling him to let go of the past.

Best line ever.

3.5 stars.

Second book in the series. Am enjoying this series and the world building here. We get a bit more background info on John, still not a lot on Caleb and very little on Gray. There is a lot of time spent in his book on the symbiotic relationship between Caleb and Gray and how they are coming to co-exist. We also see the relationship between John and Caleb deepening and John coming to also see Gray as more than an NHE to be eliminated.

A seed is planted re who at Spectr May or may not be trustworthy. Thus we get the start of a conspiracy boiling under the surface of the individual book plots.

No longer an unregistered paranormal, Caleb and Gray are brought in to help SPECTR with a strange ghoul case. In the meantime, they worry about their relationship with John and Caleb tries to figure out how to get rid of his unwanted passenger.
