i was so invested in the story throughout the whole book. i was so nervous for the characters, i could hardly put the book down. the worldbuilding is developed more in this one, and it's really intricate and unique. also i love how we see the characters continuing to develop in a natural way. it's not rushed or forced - they're still facing their inner conflicts, the pressures they have to deal with, relationship problems, all of that.
