I was rooting for Loki all the way. I also had a great deal of sympathy for Fenris.
Meh..
Not her best.... Far from it... Veeeeeeeeeery far...
I was just hoping for the book to end soon.. And it only has 300 pages...
Everything was a mess and too rushed...

I'd really been looking forward to this book for a while. I mean, Loki!
But it paled next to what I wanted and expected. This is really a fairly straight retelling of Norse Mythology with the literary conceit of it being Loki's version to tie everything together. And, frankly, if I want a retelling of Norse Mythology, I want to relisten to Neil Gaiman's version which was brilliant.
But even trying to judge this book without reference to Neil Gaiman's take, it doesn't really stand up. The literary conceit just makes Loki seem wishy washy, his motives in the narrative that strings the myths together sways to and fro to match whatever is going on in the myths, instead of rewriting the myths to make them all fit together, which was the stated goal of the book.

While Loki was an amazing voice to read. I wasn’t too invested in the plot.
A fun read - nothing earth shattering but worth the time!
This was the first book I had read about Norse Gods and it was ok but felt it was a bit flat somehow.
The characters didn't come alive as I expected them to.
The story was interesting and did hook me in a bit as I wanted to know what happened next.
For me not one of the Joanne Harris books I would want to read again.

I really enjoyed this. I like Norse mythology and it was fun to be from Loki's point of view.
Very interesting approach to the Norse mythology. It was enjoyable to read the story from Loki’s perspective. I am simply surprised how I easily became fund of him after just reading a few chapters. I even hated other gods for their resentment toward Loki. I probably need to read the original version of the mythology again to refresh the memory though.
