Interesting, emotionally-charged story. I felt like there was unnecessary fluff. The writing was flattering to Obama.

I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook for this one (read by Wallace).

While most of the information contained in this book is public knowledge, it was very interesting to hear the perspectives of those involved at the time.

A President and his staff worried that the information received may be incorrect and that the outcome could be perilous along with expertly trained seals that see this mission as the possible end of their lives left me on the edge of my seat (even though I knew the outcome).

This is a well told narrative of one of the most important and risky missions conducted in my lifetime thus far.

KNEW ALMOST THE COMPLETE STORY BUT IT WAS STILL VERY INTERESTING

3.5/5 for me. I really like Chris Wallace. He speaks well to an audience and is a truth-first journalist. This book is very quick and is written in a way where it almost feels like a thriller novel at times. So it's very accessible, especially for those who may not be very informed about this event. That being said, I do wish we could've had more "journalism" in it. Or more post-2011 first-hand accounts from those involved.

It is wild to me how incredibly interesting it is to read about historical events even when the outcome is known. I found the deep dive into the events compelling. It makes all those involved more real and brings to life how incredible they are at their jobs. I will read every Countdown book these co-authors write.

Phenomenal journalism here and an unbelievable recollection of an event that altered the course of history. Reading it as an adult was nothing short of thrilling.
