I wish Piketty was a more engaging writer, but if he was you might miss the overwhelming evidence he presents for his arguments. One of the few nonfiction books which presents effective solutions for the problems it enumerates, which made me feel  like the project of undoing some of the gross excesses of western capitalism was possible. Highly informative, persuasive, and compelling. Will be carrying the contents with me into political life and advocacy.

Very refreshing read after Americana, but a bit depressing when considering the likelihood (or lack thereof) of the changes suggested by Piketty here.

Powerful book giving a positive and inspiring (and admittedly overly optimistic) case for redefining and revolutionizing our future. It’s always been taxes taxes taxes

Very informative on historical basis of inequality. Good news is things are improving, bad news is we aren't there yet.

Wanted a physical copy rather than an ebook on the phone!
