YES! THIS is the follow up I really wanted from the first book in the series. It picks up with Peri, who I'm so glad got his own story. I loved him with Besh, I thought that they had great chemistry, great banter back and forth, and they were smokin' hot together. I really enjoyed the action and pace to this one too, although a small part of me wishes that there was more romance and more time for Peri and Beshel to fall for each other. Still, this was hot, sweet, I loved all the characters, and I hope there is more in this series! I'm thinking Kenji and Martan should be next?

This series just keeps getting better and better. We finally get a book from Peri's POV. He and Besh, Bastian's uncle, have been unknowingly violated, resulting in something that pulls them together. The two of them, along with Besh's nephew, race to keep an all-out war from happening.
That doesn't even begin to adequately cover all the things that happened in this book. The plot that started in [b:The Degan Incident|18306804|The Degan Incident (Galactic Conspiracies, #1)|Rob Colton|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1376194689s/18306804.jpg|21766451] and continued through [b:The Cassini Mission|18810035|The Cassini Mission (Galactic Conspiracies, #2)|Rob Colton|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1384645188s/18810035.jpg|26744110] ratches up to 1000 in this one. Seriously, I'm pretty sure there was hand flailing at one point during my reading. Many of the principal players in [b:The Cassini Mission|18810035|The Cassini Mission (Galactic Conspiracies, #2)|Rob Colton|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1384645188s/18810035.jpg|26744110] are along for the mission to help them.
Peri and Besh are so good together. Stoic and serious Besh is no match for light-hearted and teasing Peri. It takes Besh a while to get with the program, but once he does, the heat level goes up exponentially.
I'm not sure if this is the last of the series or not, but I'm holding out hope for another one, focusing on Martan and Kenji.

As the blurb states, this was indeed an action-packed adventure! I enjoyed seeing all the characters from the previous two books and was glad to get the conclusion of the story line setup over those books. Everything played out like a great movie – just how I like my sci-fi adventure books to be!
Peri was an interesting character; I loved how he felt toward his unexpected responsibility and the lengths he went to in defending it despite not having the background. His and Beshel’s relationship was different. I felt the chemistry but they didn’t have much in common. However, as in the previous books, I was able to overlook it for the sake of the action story, much like the movies where the main love interests are thrown together and the situation drives the attraction. I think in this case, the HEA pans out due to other factors so I could believe it in the end.
If you liked the first two books, this is a great addition. Although seemingly the end of the story arc, there is another couple set up that could be explored in another book. I hope we get to see that relationship too.
