The art is super pog but the characters are not really all that complex. One thing that is done really well is how exciting it is for you when they finish developing something. Never did I think that electricity would make me so hyped.

This story is off to a new arc at a rapid pace! The story picks up at the tragic end of the battle and quickly progresses to new scientific inventions and adventures in the stone world! Many of our favorite side characters get there moment in the spotlight. We also get to learn more about some of Tsukasa's people and their talents. I'm excited to see what adventures we will see in the next volume!

I have to be real here: I don't care that the conflict between Hyoga and Senku was taken care of relatively fast. I don't care how quickly the actual war between Tsukasa's and Senku's armies ended. I don't care about any of that shit because I am having a FUCKING BLAST with this series!

Although, I will say, Senku's temporary parting with Tsukasa was so heartbreaking, but I'm so happy that the new task is to re-petrify him so that they can revive him again. I'm proud of Senku, and really everyone involved, for willing to accept Tsukasa's apology and accept him as one of their own. I'm sad he's been pushed to the back burner for the forseeable future, but I understand why.

I'm not going to dwell on Ryusui's introduction because, frankly, I don't care about him and think he's an asshole. What I will dwell on is how hilarious Gen and Senku's friendship is because both are manipulative, scheming little shits who enable each other. Watching them dupe Ryusui into joining the hot air balloon expedition was fucking gold and fucking hilarious. And on the subject of characters, I'm definitely warming up to Yuzuriha, mostly because she's really useful and she's also becoming more assertive. Taiju is still Taiju, but he's not nearly as obnoxious now as he was in the first volume.

I'm so pumped for the exploration portion of this series and can't wait to see where the crew goes! I can't wait for volume 11!

The Stone Wars are over; the true big bad is subdued, and we invent refrigeration to keep the old big bad barely alive from his fatal wound because for some reason, the main character still regards him as a friend.
Hilariously, the way they plan to heal him is to subject him to the Medusa-power that petrified the world in the first place, which according to the ancient stories, came from South America.
TIME FOR EXPLORATION!
But it's one thing to make a superior sailing vessel; it's another to navigate it safely across the Pacific.
Looks like that's one thing our scientific Macgyver can't do...INSTEAD, THEY SEEM TO REVIVE SOMEONE FROM A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SERIES! Seriously, I have a feeling this was suppose to be the main character for the next thing the author wanted to do, but when Dr. Stone just continued to be popular, maybe they decided to just fold him into the current cast. Despite being the very definition of spoiled rich kid, he knows his stuff and unfortunately, the Kingdom of Science needs his skills.
Also, they invent hot air balloon to get a bird's eye view of how Japan's changed in the thousands of years since (MT FUJI STILL ACTIVE & ERUPTS BRO! WHY DO PEOPLE STILL LIVE SO CLOSE TO IT?!)
