I love the incorporation of Rap music, especiaöly freestyle in a play. It caught me right from the first page. Man i would love to see this staged.

Got the book after I saw the play, it is absolutely phenomenal!

The way both storylines within the play provide commentary on both blackness, representation in media and gentrification is done brilliantly.

The characters are all complex and is refreshing to see. It doesn’t play into typical motifs one would expect from a work like this and makes the viewer think more in depth about their own views and what arinze is speaking about.

If you have the chance to see the play then you must do! The hook covers what happens in the play very well and makes it easier to go back into favorite moments and analyze them better!

But see the play of you can!

One of the best working playwrights today, since I saw Misty at Trafalgar Studios all that time ago I've returned to this script both as a fantastic writerly script with it's exploration of form and also as a truly probing and insightful piece about identity.
