Ever since reading Matt Tavares’ Red & Lulu, I’ve been obsessed with reading Christmas books that include the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. This is a really sweet story about an owl who was stuck in the tree that became the Rockefeller tree & how she learned what Christmas is really all about. The illustrations were gorgeous. I loved the information about the animal rehabilitator and the encouragement to do our part to take care of animals. Can’t wait to share this with students for the holidays next year.

Little Owl's story has a perfect mix of environmentalism and Christmas spirit. I loved the journey of figuring out what Christmas means!
