Noah and Miranda were a duo, best friends since he moved to the apartment next to hers. She exuberant and funny, he deeply lonely, fatherless and with a mother sunk in major depression and agoraphobia. But, their duo soon became a trio when the red headed tall Cora moved in with her mom and veteran father to the same apartment block. From their early teens they were inseparable. Noah and Mercedes with a lighter seemingly deeper connection but both circling around the needy and depressive Cora, and her tragic messed-up aura.
This is the story of a friendship that overcomes giving up your loved one, giving up your future hopes, that never falters, and endured even after death.
The narrative is mostly when they’re in their early thirties but goes back in various flashbacks to give you glimpses that justify their current life, traumas, and decisions.
It is a tale about depression, ptsd, bad choices, bad timing, and suicide, about friendship, love, and tragedy, but also, and maybe mainly, about second chances, and hope.
Again Amy Harmon does not disappoint.
