So I loved this so far but I think I need to physically read it. I wasn't clicking with the narrator and just felt like I wasn't fully absorbing it.
Reading a book will take me less than a week. If I LOVE the book it will take me just a day or two, no matter the size of the book. The shadow of the gods took me many WEEKS. And I still don't understand why!
The author's writing is great, the main characters are interesting and quite unique... And yet no chapter got my full attention. Maybe the downside for me was that the story goes from killing to more killing. Lots of blood, fighting and slicing necks. And... Not much more.
Nevertheless I think the author was able to create a very interesting and unique worldbuilding.
