DNF. This book was bland and hard to read. I could only stomach 3 pages at a time. None of the characters actions were logical and it just felt like a fan fiction with too much confidence and no skill. I only stuck with it because there are so many high ratings.....i feel so let down

Ari cries at everything, Braith is 900 years old and is dating a teenager, and I know I’m going to hate Max once he becomes plot relevant. The only good character is the seeing-eye wolf.
Graphic: Slavery, Toxic relationship, Blood
I really struggled to read this, to the point I got my screen to read it to me lol. It just felt slow, I might have rated it a little higher if it didn’t end without a HFN or a HEA, but it ends with them seperate & him turning beastly because of it. I’m sure by the next one they’ll reconnect etc, but I prefer my heroes not hating the love interest at the cliffhanger? They both hate each other at the end and I just don’t have the energy for that right now. Probably would have been better to fuse them together or not end at that point. Him going after her, but not despise her might have worked better for me.
To be fair, if I’d read this when it released I probably would have loved it, but it wasn’t to my current tastes.

I probably would have given this 4 stars if it wasn't for the overuse of tears and that ending. I thought it was really against character for him to flip like that.
This book had a very interesting plot and storyline. I enjoyed watching the relationship unfold with Aria and Braith. I will say the ending felt very rushed and not character like. Along with that Aria just seemed a little lazy in the sense that everything was hopeless. For someone who is the daughter of the leader in the rebellion I expected her to try and change Braiths ideology more. Instead she was more interested in love rather than anything to do with the rebellion. Unsure if I will continue the series as the ending of this book left me more disinterested than wanting to find out what happens.
Was… a good premise but the execution was where it lost me.
The unseeing vampire can see suddenly which didn’t track - the FMC was very “not like other girls” (instant ick) even tho she was every single girl ever, had a human pining after her due to forced proximity bcuz there can literally be no other reason…. I could go on.
Again the major plot points and conflicts were GREAT IDEAS! Real addictive potential. It was the execution of bringing these big potentially awesome ideas to life where it fell off. Maybe we’ll get a second release bcuz I will give it another try for sureeee with some editorial / developmental updates.

So, I saw a Goodreads ad for this book and was intrigued by the premise. I went and looked it up on Amazon and jackpot! It's free! I downloaded it and read it and ADORED it.
The length of this story was perfect for me (about 180 pages). As a personal preference, I like being able to finish a book in an afternoon instead of over a weekend.
In a futuristic world where vampires have achieved rule over the humans, mankind is mostly reduced to menial positions of servitude to their immortal overlords. Still, a few rebels hide in the forests waging guerilla warfare against the vampires. The seventeen-year-old daughter of the rebel leader, Arianna, is captured in a raid and sold as a blood slave to the future vampire king.
Braith, the eldest of the three vampire princes, is fascinated with the human girl in spite of her annoying tendency to back talk and defy him at every turn. Arianna is sure Braith's a monster like every other vampire she's seen, but as time passes and he doesn't force her to give him blood or anything else, she finds herself starting to like, maybe even trust him. But blood slaves are not meant to have long lives and time soon begins to run out for Arianna.
Anyway, this book was awesome. I mean, can you top a YA dystopian paranormal romance with VAMPIRES? Ha! I thought not. The writing style was beautiful and while there were some typos and formatting errors, they could not discourage me from gulping down this story with a gusto. Within minutes of finishing this book, I went and snagged the next one. So what are you waiting for? Go read this thing!
