I enjoyed this, although I am disappointed how many people had to learn about Catherine. Also, now I want to go to a fancy beach resort.

Compared to the other books in this series, this book really went quite big on the creativity. I loved the narrative being taken place in a country outside of the United States; not only did it show how SPYDER's goals were international, but it also really added some spice to the story.

YES!YES!YES! While the plot does not very far from the previous books,(spider hatches an evil plan Ben outsmarts them.) it’s part of why you love them! A kid gets recruited to spy school as a patsy and against all odds becomes a spy anyway! YAY kid power! Even though I like the whole series I thought this book was especially good. It was great to see Ben stop pining over Erica and see that THERE ARE OTHER GIRLS!! And because of the cliffhanger I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, Spy School British Invasion!

- Loveable characters? No
I am so tired of this series; it's actually putting me into physical pain. Ben is not nearly charismatic enough to have Erica and Zoe interested in him like that since the guy is a bumbling self-insert for any little boy reading this. To make matters worse, Erica is two years older than Ben and because they are both in EARLY HIGH SCHOOL at best, that is actually worrying. Why shoehorn a stupid mini age gap romance? So that little 10 year old boys will be hopeful that a girl who is (at that stage of life) mentally and physically more mature by miles can pretend to have a chance with them? Even if it's reciprocated, it is CREEPY AND UNSETTLING. Also, the suspension of disbelief required for half of the stupid shenanigans involved is baffling. The plot is lost upon me and there is just no sensical way about this. Sure, writing about corruption to the top is juicy, but this problem seems like it will never be fixed. Why? BECAUSE YOU WROTE CORRUPTION UP TO THE TOP. How is a TWEEN capable of fixing any of this?

Long story short, it's been one heck of a past month, and I'm way behind on reviews. I'll try to get caught up over the next week or two.
Ben and Erica are off with Murray Hill to try to find the SPYDER headquarters...but then, as usual, everything falls apart, they somehow end up at a beach resort in Mexico with the whole Spy School crew, and crazy shenanigans ensue!
If you haven't read the rest of this series, sure, you could pick up here and be fine. But really, you should start from the beginning. These are enjoyable, fast paced reads that are the right amount of story line and goofy, especially when life is a little crazy or stressful and you need reading to be an escape from that.
This particular book's setting at a Mexican resort was a great setting for the zany things that happen. Murray is such an all over the place character, which is really strange, but other than that and weird middle school age relationship drama, I enjoy these books. (And it's easy to just read over the awkward relationship drama parts.) I recommend you check this series out! I'll go 9 of 10 and 5 of 5 for readability.
