Beautiful artwork and beautiful story! I wish there was more; loved the spooky-witchy vibes and the graphics are stunning!

I was lucky enough to get this book with a signed insert of her artwork and it is beautiful.

The plot was a bit predictable and there were a lot of similarities to Harry Potter, but the characters were fun and the art was absolutely gorgeous. A fun witchy graphic novel for October.

A fast paced mystery set at a school for witchcraft that also explores family vs found family filled with gorgeous art. I really liked the dark academia aspect of this book and feel like it was too fast because I want to know more about Youngwity School and its students, especially since the only character that feels fully realized is Abby. I’d love to see a continuation or revisit to this setting to develop more about the school and the characters.

This witchy graphic novel is perfect for anyone who binged The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Wednesday, or are fans of the old TV series Charmed. You’ll see a lot of similar elements: good vs. evil, scrying, familiars, plot twists, demons, and a little romance! This story takes place in a magical witchy academy, and the main character Abigail is immediately troubled when she learns Noreen, her closest friend and basically her sister, goes missing in the forbidden woods. This is days before Samhain, which is when the veil between the world of the dead and the living is at its thinnest.

Abigail was told by the witches in charge not to get involved and to let them find Noreen on their own. However, Abigail and her friends decide they won’t sit back and wait, and they start searching on their own. As they search, they also start noticing startling similarities between Noreen and another witch who disappeared decades prior in those same woods. Took a start off for how predictable the twist was (and it copies another show I mentioned above, I won't mention which one for the sake of spoilers), but overall I enjoyed this. The magic that is illustrated is stunning, and the mystery aspect is engrossing. If you love dark academia, witchy tales, creepy vibes, autumn, and gorgeous artwork to follow along with the story, then this is a must-read graphic novel for you.

Très cool visuellement mais c’est allé un peu vite ? La fin m’a semblée un peu rushée.
