Do you like Wednesday or Sabrina? Or maybe you like Harry Potter or Naomi Novik’s The Scholomance.
You’ll probably like Over My Dead Body.

This was a perfect read for spooky month (although it is so good I would recommend it anytime).

Favorite character: Seymour.

I loved all the little details. The art, the poem, the chapter breaks, the acknowledgements, even the dedication.

Highly recommend.

A spooky book for spooky season…or not! This was a great read with witches, dark magic, tea and of course funny familiars (Seymour is precious).

Have a great day!

The kind of graphic novel that I know I will find myself revisiting come autumn proper. I only wish this could have the drawn out series it deserves. I could see this making a great animated miniseries

Beautifully illustrated, I loved the use of colors (and pointy hats), but the overall story and characters felt flat to me. The mystery and culprits were predictable, everything was resolved too fast. But still, I think it's a good read for the spooky season.

This was such an inclusive atmospheric autumnal witchy read with characters I adored and absolutely stunning artwork throughout, I will be rereading this as it has quickly become a comfort read and just the tonic for in between studying helping me unwind. To me this book is perfect for those days where you want to cosy up, forget everything around you and be transported somewhere else.
