I've decided to revisit my childhood, but through audiobooks instead.
Monster Blood is essentially a kid-friendly version of Little Shop of Horrors and it's entertaining because of it. The story does drag a bit, and the chapter breaks aren't helpful while listening to the audiobook. Kirby Heyborne does a great job at keeping you in the action, and then those breaks often ruin the mood.
There are a few triggering scenes that may be too much, so if you're a parent, please check warnings or read/listen first.
