Very heavy book to read emotionally. I hope the author finds a way to breathe and live unencumbered someday.

One of the best immigrant stories I've read. Ms Camarillo conveys the sense of helplessness and obligation many children of immigrant families feel. I hope she continues to write. She is a gifted storyteller.
Graphic: Eating disorder, Panic attacks/disorders, and Classism
Moderate: Suicidal thoughts and Grief
Minor: Suicide, Mass/school shootings, and Deportation
