There was two things that set me off. The fact that there was *trigger warning* grape innuendos. Even from one of the bonded guys themselves?!?! And home girl keeps saying she can't use her powers multiple times even though I've only listened to 8% of this book. Even though these powers can help her get out of the situation she is in.

I was told it was going to be like Haunting Adeline, however it feels like a darker version of the Shatter Me Series. I will probably continue the series although with reading shatter me before hand, it does feel like a reread but with smaller twist. There wasn’t much background information so I kinda felt confused the whole time. The characters were kinda difficult to remember, like it was hard to match personalities with names. Not terrible but could be better. There weren’t really intense parts except for the end.

Well consider me intrigued. I downloaded the other five books before I even finished Broken Bonds. I guarantee Nox gets a redemption arc, North can get bent but Gabe, Griffin and Atlas are warming up to me. I love Sage, and I want to protect her with all my heart, please don’t kill her!

I am literally obsessed with this series. I started the audiobook casually while cleaning my kitchen and became hooked within 2 minutes, no exaggeration.
The writing is an addicting mix of fantasy and new adult. The characters all feel real and separate and her relationships feel organic and individual which doesn’t happen often for RH to me.
The plot and mystery of this series is great. This is a series I will probably revisit multiple times.

I’ve waited a very long time to read this book as I wanted to wait until the series was complete. This book was good and the storyline didn’t disappoint.

I love that both genders can be the center of the bond. Usually in books it’s either or so that was refreshing to see. I’m sure more will unfold, but I need more details about bonds. How did she find her bonds but not know who they were? Like the markers have to match? Also, can they get it wrong? Sage and Felix seem more compatible than Riley. Maybe someone is tampering with them. When do you get tested for bonds? I would think it would be around the age of maturity. Also for Nox to approach her and say he’s been waiting 5 years and really it was 10. That’s gross. She was 9 and 14. We also don’t know the guys ages but it’s assumed he’s almost 10 years older than her. Also there’s some dubious consent going on.

They’re being so mean to her. I can’t wait until they find out the truth.

The timeline of the story is a bit off. It was the first week of school for Oli. We learn on Friday she goes to TT and then dinner with her bonds. Then the next day, which would be a Saturday she goes to school. Minor detail, but college usually isn’t on the weekend. Then the following day, which is supposed to be Sunday, there’s a football game. College football games are usually on Friday or Saturday. Another minor detail I can get over BUT Oli then tells Sage she’s known her for weeks. How?! It’s only been one week. That then made me stop reading and go back to make sure I wasn’t tripping for like 20 minutes. Also, they’re in Oregon. A pool party during spring break? It’s like 50 degrees. Details matter.
