This book is technically well written, however it has the equivalent imagination of a piece of bad erotica. The author rides the good name of legitimate climate and dystopian fiction to tell a story about the inevitability of a patriarchal mode of government, race and class divisions, and the inferiority of women. This is not a novel, it's a long-winded fantasy about going back to the land and having women cook and take care of the kids while you galllivant around the town who elected you mayor for no identifiable reason and hang out with the cool new Christian extremists who just rolled up. There are so many better books to read.
