“I found you, and that’s all that matters. You are the prize.”
**Synopsis:**
Josh and Daisy met in a previous book. This book explores their attraction.
**The following are my thoughts about this book: **
* * the ending felt a little incomplete. I guess I was looking for a little more of a look forward for this couple (a good HEA) rather than just a Happy For Now ending.
* * chemistry was ok. There was something a little missing for me.
* * it felt a tiny bit shallow or lacking depth. Daisy had some serious issues and it would have been nice to know how she overcame them. Plus, usually when someone gets a tattoo there is significant thought put into it and usually has some special meaning to the person. If her body was covered in tattoos, then it would have been a great way to get a true glimpse into who Daisy was at her core and the things she dealt with in her life. I felt there was a lot about Daisy that was a missed opportunity.
**Overview:**
- Content Warning: alcoholic, verbal and physically abusive parent, loss of parents (one due to suicide) (in the past, mostly off page)
- Setting: New York
- Do you need to read previous books in series?: Daisy was introduced in Book 3 and Josh was introduced in Book 2. Characters from previous books make significant appearances in this book, so my recommendation would be to read this series in order.
- POV: Dual POV
- Tropes: Insta love
- Who is the Hero? Josh Hayes (age: early 30’s, I think). Owns a couple marina’s with his twin brother - one in the Hamptons and another in St. Thomas. Spends six months each year at each marina.
* The following words/phrases were used to describe Hero: sweet, polite, handsome, dedicated, hardworking, responsible, funny, great with people, easygoing, has a huge heart, thoughtful
* H likable? Yes.
- Who is the Heroine? Daisy Levi (age: 31). Agent for artists. Did not have a good family life. Is very close with her brother (his story was the previous book).
* The following words/phrases were used to describe Heroine: confident in her profession, lacks confidence personally, terrified, trapped, recovering alcoholic, strong, covered in tattoos
* h likable? Yes.
- h virgin? Yes
- First time they kiss: 62%
- First time they sleep together: these words at 82%….“I want to make love to him, but I don’t think tonight is the night. It’s too fast for me.”. So they have some sexy times but never take it to the next level.
- First time they say I Love You 97%
- steamy? A little bit
- OW/OM drama? No
- H/h cheat? No
- Time apart? No
- Did I skip pages? No
- Big secrets? Not really. Just stuff from their pasts that they ultimately share as they get to know each other better.
- Did I cry? No
- Did I laugh? No
- Did I swoon

I have enjoyed the Four Seasons series so much! Josh and Daisy's story was so touching and I loved the banter between the two. I love the dynamic of this group of friends. You really need to read the first three books just to understand how everyone fits together. Plus they are all good books, so you need to read them anyway! Another story well done, Kristina!

Another fabulous book by Kristina Beck. She always has a way of weaving a story, making you glued from the first page down to the last page. If you haven't started this series, I highly recommend it. You'll enjoy each book!

Josh isn't necessarily a player, but he does enjoy dating. The problem? He just hasn't found the right woman. Daisy's not much for dating, especially with her past. But when she met Josh, there was an undeniable attraction. But all their friends are trying to dissuade her from him. But despite what Daisy might think, she's an incredibly strong woman, and she knows when to follow her heart.
Are Josh and Daisy my favorite couple? Yes, yes they are. I loved how far Daisy has come in her life. She and Julius had a very difficult past, and it's one that they've worked hard to overcome, Daisy even more so. I love her strength and her resilience, and I love that she's able to stand up to her brother, Skylar, and her friends when they try to interfere with what she wants. I loved this one from start to finish. This has been such a fun series to read and I do hope Kristina is not done with the crew because they have been such a fantastic crew to get to know.

Such a sweet ending to a lovely series. Love at first sight for each couple, makes you wonder how often does that really happen? I haven't experienced it myself, more of a slow burn but who knows... and of course there is still at least one character left who needs a happy ending so maybe there will be more to this series in the future.

Maple Trees and Maybes is book 4 in the Four Seasons series. It's by far my favorite of the series. It can absolutely be read as a standalone but I strongly suggest you read the whole series, in order to get the full background on everyone. I absolutely love the dynamic between Josh and Daisy. Their banter cracks me up. I have been waiting for their story and it was worth the wait. I went through so many emotions. I adore how strong and determined Daisy is, and how supportive and caring Josh is with her. What a fabulous book. I hope we get more to come with this series.
