So so close to being 5 stars. I absolutely loved this book. Reading it felt like an experience, the writing was so compelling and illustrative, I watched all the events unfold like a movie. 
The main character is fascinating and it's so interesting to read a book that doesn't feel driven by the actions of the main character. 
Only reason it's not 5 stars because there are some elements that feel quite dated. 
Will read again.
