Ana Huang has redeemed herself with this one!!! After the last installment of Kings of Sin my expectations were pretty low

I did not enjoy this book as much as the others in the series. I think the glimpses of Xavier in previous books did not give me a good impression of him. While his character definitely improved, it took me a while to warm up to him.
This book made me SUPER excited Vuk’s book!

As the CEO of a leading PR firm, Sloane’s life revolved around planning, working, keeping her clients out of trouble, and wearing Louboutins. She was the picture of a NYC businesswoman ice queen. She expected a lot from herself and from her clients, but her most difficult client, and the last man she ever expected to care for, managed to thaw her heart. I loved seeing how Sloane and Xavier were able to face all trials they faced and how they realized they were more alike than they thought. As with all of her books Ana Huang keeps the readers attention with a perfect mixture of drama and humor. Plus I loved seeing all the cameos from both the Kings and Twisted series. I highly recommend this book!

“Love isn’t about perfection, Luna; it’s about imperfect people creating their own version of happily ever after.”

This entire series keeps my enthralled and coming back for more. Xavier Castillo lives a life of luxury and sloth. Sloane is a powerful publicist charged with keeping his family image above reproach. She is the epitome of prideful elegance and Xavier appreciates it enough for all of us. She is the grumpy to his sunshine. After Xavier's father dies, he is left with conditions to receive his inheritance. This will be the biggest and most difficult challenge of his life and Slone is there to help him every step of the way. It was absolutely perfection watching those two grow together and become better versions of themselves. They helped each other heal old wounds that were buried deep. Their chemistry was top notch, and don't even get me started on the banter!
Xavier Castillo is quickly moving up my book boyfriend list. He is very different from the rest of Ana's men. He is selfless, kind, observant, and thoughtful. His character was easy to love.
The list Kai provided Xavier about the most influential and powerful people to help him get his club off the ground was perfection. It included Vuk Markovic, Alex, Jules (I love that she's included in this list), Christian, Dominic, and Sebastian Laurent. We even got multiple interactions with several of them and these cameos were great. I loved seeing what the other characters are up to. It also opens the door for the next few books. I can't wait to see who's story we get next!

Includes:
-billionaire romance
-grumpy/sunshine (she's grumpy)
-he falls first
-they work together
-spicy

Definetly not my favorite anna huang book. It did what it was supposed to but like by the end of the series u can only tolerate so many spoiled rich kids before it becomes repetitive. And it was a slow burn so I felt like I was waiting around forever for something to happen and then that wasn’t even exciting. Very mid anna huang book and I think I need to take a break from her after this book. Truly the king series is not as good as the twisted books. Maybe I’ve over done the plots so I need something new which is why I didn’t enjoy this one that much. I honestly glazed over the last half of the book just to finish

Sloane Kensington x Xavier Castillo. It was a sweet love story, but rather dry? I enjoyed reading it and loved the couple, but it wasn’t memorable and very predictable. Judging against other stories in the same Ana Huang realm, this was a far more normal tale.
